    Sleep is one of the most pressing concerns for families with young children.  Unfortunately, understanding what is biologically normal is missing in our culture as is the fact that sleep is not something that exists in a vacuum.  Sleep is dependent upon so many factors and when I work with families, I make sure to look at all of these factors to maximize people's well-being.  Sometimes there are changes to routines, sometimes health changes, sometimes there's acceptance and working with expectations and how to handle one's own sleep needs, but there is no one solution that works for all families.   • Sometimes we don't think we need more help than we do.  Despite the amount of readings or audio in each course, many people find the one-on-one time more valuable in terms of talking through the various issues they face.  Not all solutions have a simple answer and having someone to help you through them can be invaluable.  However, not everyone will know they need this help ahead of time.  For this reason, I have created this option to purchase additional office hours for any course that you are taking or may have taken, even if it's after the fact - I always welcome helping people at any time.

    Consultations can be made on a wide array of issues.  I have worked with families on sleep, discipline, school/daycare, social and emotional development, welcoming siblings, divorce, and more.  I take a very individualized approach which allows me to take your situation into account with any recommendations I may have. One-time consultations can be done via Skype, phone, or email and cover a broad range of issues and are perfect for most topics.  The consultation includes:
    • the 75-minute session via Skype or phone (or in-depth emails to gather the same information)
    • a summary of the plan discussed, and
    • 2 weeks of email follow-up  (you can select to purchase a longer follow-up time of an additional 2 weeks)

    This 4-week email course is for those who are currently struggling with sleep or who may just want to jump the gun and understand more about the sleep process, the expectations we can have, how to navigate being responsive with self-care, and how to make gentle changes when necessary.  The course includes the emails, some optional homework, and a one-on-one individual session with me to help you personalize the information from the course.  See below for more details on the four units.
