I have partnered with Breastfeeding Conferences Australia to provide accredited eLearning Modules for IBCLCs (worldwide) and Australian Midwives, though they are open to all to register and take, no matter where you live. If you are interested in having them accredited for your professional governing body, please contact me or Barb at Breastfeeding Conferences Australia and we can see what we can do.
Currently there are 2 eLearning Modules available. You can purchase them individually or as a bundle (which is much cheaper). You can read more about each and register by clicking on the appropriate image.
Module 1 – Science and Sleep Training: The Hidden Truth
This module provides an overview of the research on sleep training dating back to the earliest studies. It reviews what the studies tell us, what they don’t, and what we can take home as a message about the efficacy and the safety of modern extinction sleep training.
This module is accredited for 3 ACM CPD points (Australian midwives) and 3 L-CERPs (IBCLCs)
Module 2 – Science and Sleep Training: Sleep Training and the Stress Response
In this follow-up to Module 1 (though it’s not necessary to take Module 1 first), I explore the issue of how we experience stress, the inter-individual variability in these responses, their outcomes, and the implications of all of this for sleep training our young children. Many may not realize that we don’t have good research on the links between stress and sleep training (because it hasn’t been done) and this takes us through what we can likely predict based on a wealth of research on stress responses, species-typical and atypical behaviours, and individual temperament.
This module is accredited for 3 ACM CPD points (Australian Midwives) and 2 R-CERPs and 1 L-CERP (IBCLCs).
