On Wednesday June 10th, I had the honest-to-goodness pleasure of having a long chat with the wonderful Pinky McKay. We focused on a talk about “happy babies”… listen herein to know what was said and to find out more about the series on Happy Babies 🙂
For example, we spoke of how certain current parenting practices are counter to the evolutionary adaptiveness of babies, of how we can work with our babies to nurture their social, emotional, and neurological health, and how to support families. All of which is so important today!
Enjoy 🙂

Tracy – this interview/discussion was so enjoyable! Could it be that the general philosophy within the non-US English-speaking countries is similar? I just feel so much more simpatico with what you and Pinky have to say – because I’m English? Great to hear more about your early years and your mum’s work in Toronto.
Looking forward to reading more about the people in the rest of Pinky’s interviews.
FYI Have you heard about ‘the big latch on’ for World Breastfeeding Week – first week in August 2013? Some gatherings in Canada but not sure how close to you in BC. http://biglatchon.org
Just wish I knew about such things when I had my boys instead of going it alone with La Leche League meetings once a month – not that they didn’t help me a lot.
Thanks again.
Helen.
